Overview
A Flutter application integrating Firebase chat and messaging, media playback, member registration, and Stripe Connect billing, supported by Riverpod state management and automated Fastlane releases.
My Role
Sole Android Engineer responsible for architecture, feature delivery, payments integration, and release pipelines.
The Problem
An unstable codebase and unclear feature boundaries slowed delivery. Chat, media, registration, and subscription flows also needed predictable state across asynchronous network and background work.
The Solution
Refactored the mobile codebase onto Riverpod unidirectional state management, isolating asynchronous background tasks from the UI thread. Engineered an isolate-based media streaming pipeline, integrated Stripe Connect subscription flows with secure tokenization, and established automated Fastlane deployment pipelines for dual-store releases.
Architectural reasoning
Decoupling real-time messaging, audio playback, and registration state into discrete Riverpod providers eliminated cross-feature side effects. Offloading heavy media caching to Dart background isolates guarantees 60fps UI rendering during active devotional playback.
